Steadfast Conventionn - Brisbane 2007

Steadfast floods Brisbane – with brokers

AUSTRALIA’S STEADFAST Group almost flooded Queensland’s capital Brisbane with insurance brokers and other delegates for its 9th annual conference last week.

The convention attracted around 1400 delegates – well above 50% of them working insurance brokers and staff, said John Phillips, Steadfast Limited CEO.

Some of Steadfast’s 269 shareholder members had more than a dozen executives and staff at the conference.

“We had 1382 registrations on the Friday morning before opening and then more registrations flowed in over the weekend.

“This was an extremely good convention and a great success judging by the attendances to hear our quality speakers,” he said.

The ‘market place’ worked very well – with some 94 exhibition spaces where sponsors and exhibitors were able to meet with the brokers throughout all the breaks in the convention session.

Steadfast also announced that its 10th annual convention in 2008 will be held in Australia’s “city of churches” – the sobriquet for Adelaide, capital of South Australia.

The Steadfast convention will be held from March 8-11 next year.
